Spring Forest Qigong

Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is a form of meditation that was developed in ancient China.  Spring Forest Qigong (SFQ) is a medical form of qigong and is the form that I practice.  SFQ is a simple, efficient, and effective method for helping you experience your optimal health, wellness, and happiness; helping you heal physical and emotional pain, and enhancing the quality of your life and the lives of others.

Qigong combines focused meditation, focused concentration, breathing technique, and body movements or postures to activate and cultivate Qi (energy) as it flows through the meridians (invisible energy channels) in the body.

SFQ is based the concept that everything in the universe is a form of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.

Having balanced, smoothly-flowing energy is the key to experiencing and maintaining optimal health and wellness.

Disease or illness is caused by energy blockages in the body. Usually this means too much or too little energy in one place.  Energy blockages are caused by many things but the most common causes are emotions or stress. Energy blockages cause your body’s natural healing system to breakdown and malfunction.  We all experience stress and sadness in our lives.  When these emotions reach a threshold they become too much to handle effectively, and a blockage forms.  The blockage can manifest physically, emotionally, or spiritually.  Everyone is different regarding how this blockage appears, but for some it could be high blood pressure, for others it could be anxiety or depression, and for many it could be digestive upset. It doesn’t matter what the blockage is, in most cases you can remove it and restore the flow energy!

By removing the blockage or blockages the energy is restored, and the disease, sickness, or other problem goes away–not just the symptoms, but the root cause of the problem is removed. I use this technique to remove blockages for my clients and to teach them how to do the same at home.

Master Chunyi Lin is the founder and creator of Spring Forest Qigong.  After years of dedicated study with some of the finest qigong masters in his native China, Master Lin has taken away the mystery, rigid discipline, and difficulty of other forms of Qigong.  In SFQ he has created a technique that is so simple anyone can learn it, yet it is very powerful. All Spring Forest Qigong active exercises are designed to enhance the flow of your energy, open any energy blockages you may have, and bring your energy back into balance.

There are hundreds of stories around the world of the healing benefits of SFQ, from depression, bipolar, to arthritis, cancer, etc. Is it very balancing for everyone, even healthy people! My Story

Qigong has given me so many benefits. When I first heard SFQ described to me, it sounded exactly like auricular medicine; the outcomes are the same! This piqued my interest! I had a sore hip when I started and thought I would see if SFQ could help it. I soon forgot about my hip and noticed an incredible spill-over effect into the rest of my life. I became more mindful, I became kinder to myself and others, I started to enjoy my everyday life more, and I noticed so much beauty everywhere I went.

SFQ has complemented my energy healing so nicely. It has also deepened my distance healing immensely. But more importantly, qigong has given me love and compassion, it has opened up my heart to so much joy, it healed my body and my mind, shifted my perspective, and allowed me to say goodbye to all my old stories that I hung on to because I thought they defined me. Don’t get me wrong, I am still very much a work in progress. Qigong continues to guide me on my purpose in life and getting the most out of each moment of each day. Sometimes I get off track, but qigong brings me back every time! I began my training with Master Lin in 2011, gained certification as an Instructor and Master Healer in 2014. Now I am one of three Certified SFQ Instructors in Canada and teach Levels 1 (Qi Activation), 2 (Qigong for Healers), and 3 (Becoming a Powerful Healer). I have also attained SFQ Level 5 training, which is the highest training available in the SFQ lineage.
