“WHAT KIND OF RESULTS?”

"

“I was feeling frightened, frustrated, and confused after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer and struggling with menopause symptoms.

After one week of practicing qigong with Sue, I was feeling better and was less irritable and overwhelmed.

I noticed that I felt more peaceful, relaxed, tolerant, and loving.

I resonate with Sue’s teachings. [My Qigong] practice has helped me make big changes in my life and in my career.”

– Janet W.

“The number one thing I’ve gained from my Qigong practice with Sue is a better mindset.

I feel less reactive and try to understand more of where people are coming from.

I feel more free to be myself, more connected to the universe as a whole, and more capable of letting go of things/people that no longer serve my higher good.

Finally, I feel more connected to my body and more confident that I can move it and I can heal it.”

– Sara S.

“When I started Qigong, I was in constant pain from arthritis, neuropathy & osteo/skeletal degeneration.

I suffered from severe anxiety & hopelessness. I couldn’t walk my dogs. Some days I couldn’t get out of bed.

Now I can walk several miles a day without pain. I even go for hikes.

As long as I maintain my Qigong practice, I am relatively pain free, no longer anxious and free of despair.

– Lynn T.

Hi, I’m Sue Crites!

I’m a Master Healer and Certified Spring Forest Qigong Instructor, based in Alberta, Canada. As a former Energy Healer, I fell in love with Qigong because it gave me and my clients a way to practice self-healing—allowing us to clear our own energy blockages, without relying on (or paying for) external support.

Qigong may seem a little “out there” to some, but my approach ties in the natural sciences, energy healing and this ancient healing technique.

From healing pain in my hip to finding peace at home (even through my 2 kids’ teen years!), my Qigong practice has benefited me and my family in countless ways.

And I’m not the only one —

Questions I often hear from Qigong enthusiasts who want to heal themselves, body, mind and soul—

What are the origins of Qigong?

Qigong is a movement practice originating in ancient China, over 5000 years ago. Qi means “Energy” or “Life force” and Gong means “to work” or “to cultivate”.

When you practice Qigong, you are moving and strengthening your life force, and in doing so, you can clear stuck energy and blockages in your physical body, your mind, your emotions and your spirit.

What type of Qigong do you teach?

The type of Qigong I will be sharing with you in these videos is of the Spring Forest Qigong lineage, which was founded by the Grand Master Chunyi Lin.

Spring Forest Qigong is a medical form of Qigong, meaning it allows practitioners to self-heal. It is also a meditative form of Qigong, so you get the benefits of meditation at the same time.

I love teaching Spring Forest Qigong because it is gentle and accessible to anyone. The movements are typically performed while standing, but if you’re not able to stand, you can also practice while seated or lying down: all you have to do is visualize yourself going through the movements in a standing position.

I’m not a beginner—will these videos still benefit me?

Yes! While I created this series of videos to help beginners understand the movements that make up a Spring Forest Qigong practice, experienced practitioners can definitely also benefit from watching the videos and following along.

As always, I explain exactly how each movement works, as well as the healing principles behind each action.

Even people who’ve been practicing for years find this helpful because it allows you to better visualize the impact of your movements and keeps your mind engaged.

Is Qigong safe for me?

Qigong movements are gentle and accessible no matter your physical condition. If your movement is restricted, you can simply follow the movements in your mind’s eye. That said, please do consult with your doctor before beginning your Qigong practice. There’s a risk of injury with any movement practice and your wellness is important to me.

What’s the difference between this training and the practices you share inside Energy in Motion?

Qigong for Beginners is designed to walk you through the individual elements and movements of a Spring Forest Qigong practice in greater detail than I cover within Energy in Motion.

While my online membership community is the perfect place to meet fellow practitioners, deepen your understanding of Qigong and develop a more consistent practice, Qigong for Beginners is the only resource I currently offer in which I show you exactly how to complete each movement, so that when I say, for example, “we’re going to practice reverse breathing” or “it’s time to harvest your Qi”—you’ll know exactly what I mean.
