*Canadian friends! To help with the exchange and Credit Card fees, you have to option for us to convert your payment into CAD (based on an exchange rate of 3.0% which is lower than the current Bank of Canada exchange rate at time of publishing of 3.7%) and pay via etransfer or Canadian Credit Card to avoid the foreign exchange fees and higher exchange charged by credit card companies.
This retreat is limited to 17 participants MAX. but 14 will be closer to the total.
To join us:
- Submit your deposit of $500 USD. Canadians, send an email to sue@suecrites.ca if you want to pay by Canadian Credit card or etransfer of $675 CAD. Please include your room-type request in the email!
- Upon payment, check your email to book a Retreat Introduction call with me to ensure this retreat aligns with you. If on our Retreat Introduction call we both agree that it’s a good fit. Then the deposit is nonrefundable. However is we both see that it is not a good fit, I will refund your deposit.
- This email will also include a form to collect your registration details and room request information that must be completed
- 50% of your balance is due November 15, 2024
- The balance in full is due January 15, 2024

There are three units with an option for Double Occupancy. Best is if you have a roommate before booking. If not, please contact me and we will do our best!
Your Retreat Includes:
- Seven nights accommodation in our quaint, centrally-located retreat center
- Seven sunrise qigong sessions, complete with instruction, wisdom sharing, discussion, and hands-on practice
- Seven locally-sourced, delicious breakfasts to start your day off right
- Three authentic regional suppers to immerse you in the flavours of Baja
- One group excursion with lunch and drinks included (details to be determined)
- Daily snacks and refreshments to keep you nourished and hydrated
- Evening campfires on the beach, perfect for stargazing and soulful conversations
- Complimentary use of kayaks for exploring the tranquil Sea of Cortez, as well as access to our on-site swimming pool
- Three yoga classes (by an amazing certified Instructor)
- New Moon Sound Bath on the beach (to be confirmed)
- Airport transfers to and from San Jose del Cabo to the retreat venue for stress-free travel
- A pre-trip preparation call to discuss logistics, answer any questions, and set your intentions for the retreat
- All tips for services provided during the retreat, ensuring a completely seamless experience
Flights:
Arrive into San Jose del Cabo (SJD) on March 4 before 4 PM if possible so we can pick you up and get you settled in before dinner. We recommend you depart March 11 after breakfast. We will have two airport pickups on March 4 and if you are not arriving in time to be on those transports we can help you arrange your own shuttle to the retreat centre (at your cost). Same situation going home.
What’s not included:
- Round-trip airfare from your home location
- Four suppers and five lunches (however, snacks will be available in the common kitchen)
- Souvenir shopping for personal keepsakes
- Personal phone calls made during the retreat
- Additional massage or spa services at the adjacent hotel
- Laundry services
- Personal medical or trip cancellation insurance

Arrecife Retreat Centre: Your Home Away From Home
Prices are per person in USD.
Arrecife is a charming, evolving retreat complex. As they are in the midst of completing newer units, photographs for these will be available soon. The property offers various lodging options to suit different preferences—all equipped with bathrooms.
Marlin and Dorado ($3300 USD each; $4290 CAD) SOLD OUT
Double occupancy per person: $3058 Bedroom; $2700 Futon
Perched above the main area, these units each feature a separate bedroom with a double bed and a living area with a futon. They provide private, ocean-view accommodations. For those interested in double occupancy, one person will be charged a higher rate for the bedroom, and the other a lower rate for the futon. Please note that these units are accessible via narrow, winding stairs. Contact us if you’d like to arrange double occupancy in advance.
Studio Units – Jurrel, Charal, Robalo, Pargo ($2865 USD each; $3724 CAD) SOLD OUT
These cozy studio units feature double beds located in a loft above the main living space. A staircase leads up to the loft, providing a unique architectural touch (see photos).
New Studios – Wahoo and Mero ($3100 each) SOLD OUT
These newly-constructed studios are equipped with double beds and boast exclusive rooftop spaces where you can enjoy ocean views.
New Studio – Vela ($3200) SOLD OUT
This new upper-level studio offers a double bed and a sweeping ocean view.
New Studio – Cabrilla ($3000) SOLD OUT
Situated on a lower level, this new studio also features a double bed and ocean view.
Tiburon Ballena (House)
This three-bedroom beachfront house serves as the retreat’s communal hub. It’s equipped with a large kitchen and deck area for gatherings and will be stocked with snacks for retreat participants. The house has two shared bathrooms.

If you require a schedule different than outlined above, please contact Samantha (support@suecrites.ca). Please contact Sue directly for Double Occupancy requests available only for Dorado, Marlin, and Bedroom 2 in Tiburon House (sue@suecrites.ca).
Cancellation Policy:
If on our Retreat Introduction call we both agree that it’s a good fit. Then the deposit is nonrefundable and any cancellation will result in a loss of $500 USD.
If on the Retreat Introduction call we both see that it is not a good fit. I will refund your deposit. Please be advised it can take up to 14 business days to reflect in your account.
Any cancellation made between November 15th, 2023 and December 15, 2023 will result in a loss of 50% of the trip price. Any cancellation made between December 16th and the trip departure will result in a total loss of funds. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if we don’t meet our trip minimum (if we do so your deposit is refunded in full). Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans.
