Daily Calm

A Five Day Reset for Women Who Worry

Gentle, body-based practices to quiet the noise, settle your nervous system, and find your way back to yourself — one day at a time.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You wake up at 3am running through everything that could go wrong.
  • You’re doing all the “right” things, but the worry doesn’t stop.
  • Your body feels tight and braced, even when nothing is actually wrong right now.
  • You’ve started to fear your own fear — wondering what it’s doing to your health.
  • You want to feel calm and grounded, but you’re not sure how to get there.

If you’re nodding, you’re not alone — and you’re not broken. Chronic worry is one of the most common experiences women describe in midlife. It’s exhausting. And it takes a real toll on the body.

The good news: your body already knows how to find calm. It just needs a reliable way back in.

My tendency to overthink and worry has lessened. That’s a huge relief.

Here’s what I know about worry

I lived with chronic worry for decades. I thought I was just being responsible — staying on top of things, planning ahead, anticipating problems. But underneath all of that was fear. And eventually, the tension my body had been holding for years started showing up as real, physical pain.

That’s when everything shifted for me.

I’m Sue Crites — qigong instructor, botanist, holistic nutritionist, and someone who has spent the better part of the last decade helping women in midlife reconnect with their bodies and feel steadier in their lives. I teach with both Eastern and Western frameworks, and I draw just as much from lived experience as I do from science.

What I’ve learned — in my own body and in my work with hundreds of women — is that calm isn’t something you create. It’s something you return to. And the path back in is almost always through the body, not the mind.

That’s what Daily Calm is built on.

What is Daily Calm?

Daily Calm is a 5-day digital program designed for women in midlife who are ready to do something different with their worry.

Each day you’ll receive a short practice — just a few minutes — that uses breath, body awareness, and gentle movement to shift your energy and settle your nervous system. These aren’t complicated techniques. They’re simple, accessible tools you’ll actually use.

The practices are drawn from Traditional Chinese Medicine and qigong, and they work by giving your body a different experience — not by asking your mind to think differently.

By Day 5, you’ll have a small toolkit you can return to anytime worry starts pulling you away from yourself.

Day Theme What you’ll experience
Day 1 Breath & Reconnection Use your breath to step out of your head and back into your body
Day 2 Nourishment Learn to receive energy — not just food, but light, stillness, and support
Day 3 Transforming Worry Meet your worry with curiosity instead of resistance — and feel it shift
Day 4 Grounding Through Movement Release stored tension with gentle movement that anchors you in the present
Day 5 Integration Weave all four practices into a single, simple sequence you can take anywhere

Each lesson includes a video practice, reflection prompts, and a downloadable journal PDF. The program is dripped one day at a time so you can actually absorb it.

What’s included

  • 5 short daily video practices (2–5 minutes each)
  • A closing video with guidance on where to go next
  • Daily journal prompts to track your shifts
  • A downloadable Daily Calm Journal PDF
  • Grounding foods reference guide
  • Lifetime access — return to it whenever you need a reset

If you’re nodding, you’re not alone — and you’re not broken. Chronic worry is one of the most common experiences women describe in midlife. It’s exhausting. And it takes a real toll on the body.

The good news: your body already knows how to find calm. It just needs a reliable way back in.

This is for you if…

  • You’re a woman in midlife navigating worry, health anxiety, or the uncertainty that comes with this season of life
  • You’ve tried mindfulness apps or breathing exercises and they felt too abstract or didn’t stick
  • You want something grounded in the body, not just the mind
  • You’re open to simple practices that don’t require a lot of time or equipment
  • You’re curious about qigong or Traditional Chinese Medicine but haven’t found an accessible way in

I have anxieties and worries. But now I practice every day and I feel less anxiety than before. I feel at peace.

Have questions? Here are a few I hear often.

Do I need any experience with meditation or qigong?

Not at all. These practices are designed for complete beginners. If you can breathe and stand (or sit), you can do this. No prior experience required.

How much time does this take each day?

Each practice is 2–5 minutes. That’s it. Small, consistent contact with your body makes a real difference – you don’t need an hour  to feel a shift.

What if I miss a day?

You have lifetime access, so there’s no pressure to keep up or start over. Go at your own pace.

I've tried breathing exercises before and they didn't do much. Why would this be different?

Most breathing techniques are taught as mental exercises. These practices work differently – they use the body as the entry point, not the mind. You’re not thinking your way to calm, you’re feeling your way there. For a lot of women, that’s the difference.

Is this only about worry, or will it help with other things too?

Worry is the focus, but the practices work on your whole nervous system – better sleep, less physical tension, and a greater sense of presence are common side effects.
